The short version
Famenza is a family scheduling app. We collect only what we need to run the features you use, we don't sell your data, and we put you in control — including one-tap deletion of your account and family data.
What we collect
- Account info — your name, email, and family details you provide.
- Schedule content — events, tasks, reminders, lists, and notes you create.
- Content you import — photos, school emails, and documents you choose to add so we can extract dates and details.
- Optional features — location (only with your explicit, per-feature consent), connected calendars, and coupons/cards you save.
How we use AI
When you ask the assistant to read an email, photo, or message, that content is sent to our AI provider solely to extract structured details (like a date or a task). We request that providers do not retain this content beyond the request, and we never send AI-generated changes to your calendar without your approval.
Sensitive information
We deliberately avoid inferring or learning preferences about sensitive topics (health, religion, politics, finances) and avoid auto-saving sensitive places (like clinics or courthouses). When something is blocked, it's recorded so you can see what was refused.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. Access is scoped to your family — other families can't see your data.
Your choices & rights
You can view, edit, and delete your content at any time. Deleting your account removes your user and family-scoped data; we keep a minimal, non-identifying record of the deletion request for a limited period so we can prove it was honored. To make a request, email support@famenza.com.
Children
Famenza is designed for parents to manage their household. Children appear as roster entries managed by a parent; we don't market to children or build advertising profiles of anyone.
